Fashion Citizen Spotlight – Randy Brewer
What's up everyone...it's time again for another Fashion Citizen Spotlight. In my daily Tumblring, I run across so many different things and so many different people that inspire me and are just plain dope. Enter in Randy Brewer, the young cat with the cool hair from ATL. I saw Randy on my Tumblr dashboard and then I checked his Tumblr out and I said, "This kid has style." I really dig the resurgence of the 80's and this new crop of college kid is ditching sweats and baggy clothes, for loafers, high top fades and the like. Randy does the 80's well like he was born into it...
After the jump, you'll find out more about Mr. Brewer
My name is Randy Brewer. I was born and raised in the eastern area of Atlanta. At the age of 12, I realized my passion for fashion. My next door neighbor taught me how to cut up t-shirts and after that I started cutting up everything. I started to dip clothing in bleach, add glitter and paint to almost everything. At age 19, I am currently on my journey as a full-time student at Clark Atlanta University majoring in fashion. During my first semester, I was a dresser at the homecoming fashion show. I'm also one of the newest members of Emergence 2 Serve: Image Society. Our organization is basically the "go-to group" for designers, models, stylists, make-up artists, etc. To date, I've styled a few photo-shoots on campus, altered a few uniforms, and consulted with several clients. My biggest accomplishment, this year, is that I'll be directing a scene in the spring fashion show on April 12th. I may be featured in the show as well. I plan to learn everything I need to know while I'm in school, so I can graduate in 2014 and start my career as a fashion designer.
The ambition of this kid is stellar, it's awesome to see someone so young already planning his own brand of world domination. Check out a few more shots of Randy below and two of the pieces that he's worked on.
