Observations of a Gentleman by Sir James (@jhenryplummer) // One Friday in Summer
It's midday in early June. That means warm temperatures and no humidity. Blue skies and a wonderful breeze. How would a gentleman indulge in a lunch dressed to compliment this day?
With the morning meetings just concluding, what better way to spend a day then lunch in Georgetown. Restaurant chosen; A favorite spot of mine, not simply because of its modern esque, yet vintage inspired decor and ambiance, but it's filled with wonderful individuals and decadent eats, The Rugby Cafe. Mimosas on deck and savory hand battered chicken strips accent the pleasant and aesthetically pleasing Georgetown view.
Upon checking the weather, I decided to match a neutral and reserved yet noticeable Oxford from Rugby by Ralph Lauren paired with my skull x crossbow Rugby evening slippers. Oh did I mention the trousers are Rugby vintage fit? As you can see rugby is not just a brand of mid-priced fashion, it's a lifestyle brand that expresses the subtle feel and excitement of my day. Was only right to enjoy a lunch day there.
Food for thought: As a well dressed young man, never limit your inspirations to your wardrobe to come solely by apparel. Access and utilize all areas of art. You'll be surprised how a distressed antiquated wood/iron chair can influence a summer evening out.
The world is full of art and your environment is a canvas waiting to be painted. Allow yourself to be a vessel to express who you are!
With my thoughts and taste buds having a carnival, this is how this gentleman spends one day in the summer.
