I'm very excited to bring you information about this event coming up next week from the great people at Jaicee Events. I'll be attending and I hope to see you there too. Not only is this a fashionable event where the chic people will meet but there is a charitable side to the evening that will benefit FAIR Fund, an organization that works to prevent human trafficking and
sexual violence in the lives of youth, especially girls, around the world. I did my college thesis on human trafficking and it's awesome that this organization is helping to prevent this horrific tragedy from happening to young people.

On August 27th, Jaicee Events will be hosting an innovative-charitable fashion event entitled PURE! Stated to be a live fashion exhibition and all white cocktail affair, PURE will put “an artistic twist on fashion & entertainment”. Scheduled to take place at the well-loved Artisphere, this cocktail event will not only provide a platform for over a dozen local designers to compete and showcase their talents, but it will also provide industry professionals the opportunity to network with others in fields of common interests.
Although the event will prove to be a great time for fashion lovers, it will also benefit a local nonprofit organization entitled FAIR Fund, an organization that works to prevent human trafficking and sexual violence in the lives of youth, especially girls, around the world. Guests can expect an appearance from Fair Fund’s JewelGirls, as they will be selling their handmade jewelry for the cause. JewelGirls is an income generation and art therapy program that gives teen women a chance for safer, healthier, and brighter futures [participants of the JewelGirls program are ages 13 to 26].
The event’s guest-list will range from special guest judges, entertainers, public figures, stylists,photographers, models and more! At this “last time to wear white” event, Jaicee invites you to roam the indoor art gallery, or explore the outdoor terrace. You’ll be greeted with live entertainment, hors d’ oeuvres and cocktails – while also having the opportunity to get up-close and personal to fashion designs awaiting your votes. “We wanted to create something fresh. Although the city has seen more than its share of runway shows and live fashion exhibitions, we wanted to somehow give the people what they love, while also adding that signature appeal we so often thirst for,” says Jaicee Events’ CEO Britney Canidate. Adding a unique spin, each selected designer has been tasked to interpret the concept of D.C. Architecture into an artistic clothing design. The designer with the most votes at the conclusion of the evening will receive a monetary cash prize, VIP Tickets to DC Fashion Week’s 15th International Couture Collections Showcase and a special network day with Kenny “Kas” Flanagan of KAS Collection, Inc.
