Renee Çabaçtnoh Fall 2015
What does Star Wars, Stained Glass and Distressed Denim have in common? You might not think that they relate at all but in the world of Renee Çabaçtnoh, they are all working together for the Fall 2015 collection. Creative Director and Head Designer, Brian Patterson has one of the most creative and intuitive minds in the DC metro area. Brian uses influences from near and far to create his pieces in limited supply, season after season.
This season he's pulled two Star Wars references, the Storm Trooper and C3PO, for inspiration to create hooded sweatshirts. The Storm Trooper inspired pieces is white of course, with white crystal embellishment and Renee Çabaçtnoh graphics. The C3PO hooded sweatshirt has golden crystal embellishments and graphics pulled right out of Brian's mind. Brian says that the first toys he remembers having were STAR WARS action figures. The coming end of the Star Wars trilogies brought back memories for the designer and he felt compelled to pay homage to his childhood.
Star Wars won't be the entire inspiration behind Renee Çabaçtnoh's Fall 2015 collection, but make no mistake, you will be able to see it's influence through out the season. The use of crystals representing the galaxy and a monochromatic look resembling a uniform are two more ways that Brian plans to incorporate this very happy childhood memory into his pieces this season.
It doesn't stop there, Brian has taken the idea of stained glass that you may have seen in his Spring/Summer collections and used it as a graphic for hooded sweatshirts. Brian's pieces have the theme of love and this relates to his overarching theme of "Save The Humans". The distressed denim pieces reoccur each season in Renee Çabaçtnoh's pieces because Brian has just a bit of rock star in him. The vibe of an 80's hair band meets the unique style of urban men and woman to produce denim pieces that literally fly off the shelves as fast as Brian can create them. Of the pictured pieces in this feature, the price range is from $40 for the bucket hat to $120 for the distressed denim jacket.
You can visit Brian's shop in the DC Metro area at 6345 Old Branch Avenue, Camp Springs, MD, 20746 and if you're not local to the shop you can find his online boutique at renée Çabaçtnoh.
